The adventure starts with a scenic drive from Tucucmari and continues with a walkabout in this delightful community. Imagine a place where time has stood still since Teddy Roosevelt hosted a reunion of the Rough Riders at the Castaneda Hotel and Emily Post rested on her westward trek along the National Old Trails Highway. That is Las Vegas, an incredible little town with more than 900 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. Now, why "almost" ten minutes?
