The theme of today's program is inspiration. Inspiration for a road trip. Inspiration to discover the magic of Route 66. Inspiration to step out of the comfort zone and chase a dream. Inspiration to transform a community.
Our guest on today's program is Angela Moreland, owner of the Cactus Inn Motel and Cactus Rose Taphouse in McLean, Texas. In our wide ranging converstation we talk about a Texas Panhandle town that has a rich Route 66 hsistory, a connection to the sinking of the Titanic, a brassiere factory turned barbed wire museum, the rewards that come with pursuing a dream, and the challenges that come with renovating an historic property.
Today's program is sponsored in part by the time capsule roadside gem that is the Roadrunner Lodge Motel in Tucumcari, New Mexico. It is also sponsored by the Wagon Wheel Motel in Cuba, Missouri, a Route 66 landmark, RouteTrip USA, the bespoke road trip holiday specialists, and Uranus Fudge Company & General Store.
