They were the boom towns of the Black Range. Today they are quiet, picturesque ghost towns with rich and fascinating histories. 

The haunting ruins of the courthouse in Hillsboro was the site of one of the most sensational murder trials in New Mexico history. Kingston was well known for a rugged, rough woman from England that drove stage coaches during the Apache Wars. Lake Valley was the site of the richest silver discovery in history. And it is linked to the missing treasure of Black Jack Ketchum.
