On today's program Terri Ryburn of Ryburn Place in Normal, Illinois and author Cheryl Eichar Jett join America's storyteller, author Jim Hinckley of Jim HInckley's America, for a lively discussion about the magic of Route 66, that highways fast approaching centennial, the trials and tribulations of historic preservation, and the Miles of Possibility Route 66 Conference.
Organized by Ryburn, Jett, and Debyjo Ericksen, the annual Miles of Possibility Conference scheduled for October 19-22 in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois with an emphasis on the business of Route 66 and education is the only event of its kind.
Today's program is sponsored in part by RouteTrip USA, the bespoke road trip holiday specialists for an adventure in the U.S. or Canada. It is also sponsored by the charming Route 66 time caspsules that are the Wagon Wheel Motel in Cuba, Missouri and the Roadrunner Lodge Motel in Tucumcari, New Mexico. And we can't forget Uranus Fudge Company & General Store where juvenile humor reigns supreme, and excellent fudge is just the first surprise.
