2026. The Route 66 centennial. The semiquincentennial of the United States. A year of opportunity. That is the subject of today's informative and thought provoking program that includes an open forum with guests, and sharing lots of Route 66 centennial information about websites, initiatives, events, tours, road trips, preservation, grants, the building of cooperative partnerships, and economic development.
This is the first in a new series of programs. Each month the first episode of Coffee With Jim will be dedicated to the Route 66 centennial, and America's 250th anniversary, and how these events can be used as a catalyst for historic district revitalization as well as economic development.

On this episode of Coffee With Jim the conversation with Professor Nolan Stolz about road trips, Route 66, U.S. 6, Amboy, California, time capsule villages, and the joy of adventures on the open road definitely had some interesting detours.
