These larger than life spacemen, cowboys, lumberjacks, and gas station attendants were once found all along the American roadside. They cast long shadows at gas stations, restaurants, tire stores and trading posts. Generically known as Muffler Men they are icons with a fascinating story. And now they are being given a new lease on life all along Route 66.
