It is billed as 160 Miles of Smiles. It is a remnant of legendary Route 66 that stretches from the 1920s Partidge Creek Bridge to the Colorado River at Topock, Arizona. It is a string of living time capsules, scenic wonder without equal, and a palpable sense of history. It is a grand advenutre.

Located along Route 66, Fort Reno has a long, colorful and controversial history. Dating to 1874 it continued to serve as a military facility into the late 1940s.
There is a connection to the legendary Buffalo Soldiers, Amelia Earhart, Will Rogers, General Sheridan and General Custer, and even WWI and WWII. The chapel built by German POWs during WWII is another tangible link to the forts fascinating history. But, perhaps, one of the most intriguing things to see at the fort is its one of a kind cemetery.
